ENHANCEMENT

Enhanced Whitelist capability: Regular Expression support

The Whitelist feature now supports Regular Expression (regex) in addition to the standard Keyword type.

This enhancement allows administrators to create more flexible and accurate whitelisting rules, reducing false positives.

Now, when adding keywords to your Whitelist, you can choose between the existing Keyword type and the new Regular Expression type.

Data Governance: eDiscovery Download client v2.0.7 update for Cloud

An updated v2.0.7 for eDiscovery Download Client is now available with minor enhancements.

Customer Action Required: Upgrade to eDiscovery Download Client v2.0.7 from the Downloads page.

Administrator Management with AD/LDAP
The Administrator management using AD/LDAP is now generally available (GA).
With this functionality, the integration with AD/LDAP Connectors and AD Accounts is centralized to manage Druva administrators efficiently by the DCP administrators.
The Administrator management feature uses your existing Active Directory (AD) or Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) integration and simplifies managing Druva administrators within the Druva Cloud Platform (DCP).

Benefits:

  • Simplified Administrator Management: Organizations using AD/LDAP for user management can now effortlessly manage Druva administrators as well.

  • Improved Efficiency: Leverage your existing AD/LDAP integration for centralized administration of Druva users and administrators.

What's New?

  • New AD/LDAP Connector: A new version of the AD/LDAP Connector is included to support Administrator Management functionality.
    Updated Settings Location: Previously, AD/LDAP Connector and Account settings resided in the "End Points and SaaS Apps Settings" page. These settings have been relocated to the "Druva Cloud Settings" section within the DCP console.

  • Upgraded Administrator Permissions: Upgrading of AD/LDAP Connectors is now an exclusive privilege of Druva Cloud Administrators.

Action Required: Upgrade all existing AD/LDAP Connectors to the new version. This upgrade is necessary to grant the required permissions to inSync & DCP administrators for modifying mappings and configurations.


❗ Important
Existing AD mappings created for user management will continue to function. However, to allow inSync & DCP Administrators to modify mappings and related configurations, DCP Administrators must upgrade all existing AD/LDAP connectors.

Centralized reporting with the enhanced framework for Non-Compliant Files and Defensible Delete for Emails reports is now available on the Druva Cloud Platform Console. The newer reports version allows easier data comparison, better interpretation, and better usability.

ENHANCEMENT

Last Sync Time for User provisioning

Introducing "Last Sync Time" to the User Provisioning tab to display the latest successful sync with the customer's Google Directory.

User Provisioning Report Enhancement

Added a new "Mapping" column to the Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace User Provisioning report. This column displays the highest priority mapping used for importing each user.

Google Workspace reports on Druva Cloud Platform (DCP)

Centralized reporting with the enhanced framework for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace reports is now available on the Druva Cloud Platform Console. The newer version of reports provides better data interpretation, expanded abilities, and a user-friendly design.

Benefits

The newer reporting interface provides the following benefits:

  • Advanced filtering and data sorting capabilities.

  • Simplified report subscription and Email Report management.

  • Visualizations (graphs, charts) and summaries simplify data comparison, boosting understanding and insights.

The following Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace reports are available with this release:

  • User Workload Report

  • User Last Backup Status Report

  • User Restore Activity Report

  • Users Count & Status Report

  • License Usage Report

  • Alert Report

Sensitive Data Governance: New parameters for list APIs for file violations

We have now enhanced the file violations list APIs to provide additional details for better insights and management of non-compliant files.

Here is the list of newly added parameters:

  • File Name

  • Policy Violation (Name of the Policy)

  • Sensitive Data Found

  • UserName

  • Datasource

  • Violation Reported On

  • Resolved On

  • Resolution Details

  • Additional Comment

Enhanced reports for Archived Non-Compliant and Defensible Delete For Files

We have now migrated Archived Non-Compliant and Defensible Delete For Files reports to our centralized reporting platform.

Now, as per your requirements, you can quickly get report data.

With this, you can:

  • Keep a close eye on critical activities. This visibility allows you to address any issues that may arise proactively.

  • Identify the users, data sources, and files with archived file violations.

  • Use Federated Search or Sensitive Data Governance (Compliance) File violations to get information about deleted files.

  • Run narrowed-down diagnostics using filters to provide evidence during audits.

Administrator Management with AD/LDAP

This release introduces Administrator Management functionality using your existing Active Directory (AD) or Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) integration. This simplifies managing Druva administrators within the Druva Cloud Platform (DCP).


❗ Important

The availability of this feature may be limited based on the license type, region, and other criteria. To access this feature, contact your Druva Account Manager or Druva Support.


Benefits:

  • Simplified Administrator Management: Organizations using AD/LDAP for user management can now effortlessly manage Druva administrators as well.

  • Improved Efficiency: Leverage your existing AD/LDAP integration for centralized administration of Druva users and administrators.

What's New?

NEW FEATURE

Enterprise Key Management for Google Workspace

With Enterprise Key Management, you can use keys generated from your AWS Key Management Service (KMS) account to encrypt and decrypt the data backed up by Druva inSync. This new feature adds an extra layer of encryption beyond Druva's default backup encryption, giving you more control over your data security.

Key benefits:

  • Use your AWS KMS-generated keys to protect Druva inSync backups

  • You have ownership of the encryption and decryption key, enabling your full control to revoke it anytime.

  • Druva will not store the key and the key will be requested when needed.

The new help center functions as the primary repository for all information, delivering a significantly more personalized and contextual experience when accessed through the product console.

Here’s a look at what’s new and what’s changed:

  • The previous documentation portal, docs.druva.com, has been replaced with help.druva.com.

  • The new and improved help center promises a leaner structure while still ensuring comprehensive and information-packed resources.

  • Improved search performance for quicker access to relevant help articles. No more sifting through an endless archive of help articles.

Action required

We have ensured that the transition to help.druva.com is seamless for you. We recommend that you update your bookmarks, and ensure you're using the latest version of client software to access this help experience for the Client.

Introducing Google Directory Integration for Seamless User Provisioning

We're excited to announce the release of Google Directory Integration for streamlined user provisioning within your workspace. Alongside Azure AD, AD LDAP, and SCIM, you can now leverage Google Directory to enhance your user management experience. To know more about this feature, refer to the documentation.

Here are the benefits in a nutshell:

  • Effortless Import: Seamlessly import users from Google Workspace through Google groups or all users, saving your valuable time.

  • Enhanced Management: Easily create and prioritize user mappings, ensuring smooth organization and efficient user management.

  • Seamless Syncing: Administrators have the capability to synchronize user data at their convenience using the on-demand sync option. Additionally, auto-sync functionality ensures that users' information remains current and consistent without manual intervention.

Customer Action Required:

  • For existing customers: Reconfigure the Google Workspace app from your inSync console to begin utilizing Google Directory. Refer to the documentation for detailed instructions.

  • For New Customers: When setting up your Google Workspace integration with Druva, opt for Google Directory as your provisioning method.
