Endpoints Last Backup Status report for Gov Cloud

Overview

The details of the last backup operation, and the status of the backup. Based on the status of the last backup, you can perform analysis and take corrective actions. For example, backup operation fails because of exceeding quota, or backup is completed but with errors.

The following table lists the fields in the Last Backup Status Report area.

Field

Description

User Details

The name and email address of the user.

Data Source

The name of the device or the cloud app that is registered to the user.

Profile

The profile that is assigned to the user.

Client Version

The version of inSync Client on user's device.

OS Platform

The name, version, and platform details of the OS running on the user device.

Data Source Status

The backup status of the device. For example, enabled.

Start Time

The date and time on which the backup started.

End Time

The date and time on which the backup completed.

Files Backed Up

The number of cloud app folders that are backed up.

Files Missed

The number of cloud app folders that were not backed up.

Bytes Transferred (MB)

The number of bytes transferred during backup.

Status

The status of the backup operation.

  • The displayed status is of the last ended backup (either successful or failed backup).

    • If the backup completes successfully without any error, the status is displayed as Backed Up successfully.

    • If the backup fails, the status is displayed as Backup Failed.

    • If a backup was never performed on the device, the status is displayed as Never Backed Up.

  • Backup Status is only updated when another backup ends (either successful or failed backup).

  • inSync does not update the Backup Status in case a backup is interrupted due to network failure, when aborted by a user due to device shutdown or restart during an ongoing backup.


Backup Details

Additional details about the backup operation. Details include information that explains the status of the data source. For example, if data from a data source was never backed up, then a possible reason could be authentication error. Backup details column describes such issues.

Backup Data (MB)

The size of actual backed up data for the device. Actual data signifies the existing backed up data for the device after differential backups.

Allocated Quota (MB)

The quota in MB that is allocated for the user.

​ 0.00 MB denotes unlimited quota is allocated to the user. Additionally, the column will be blank for cloud apps data source.


Total Backup Data (MB)

The total size of backed up data for the device. Total size is a combination of incremental and differential backup data for the device.

Last Connected

Date and time when the device last connected to inSync server. The column will show blank for cloud-app devices and for those devices which have not yet connected to inSync server.

Device OS

The name, version, and platform details of the OS running on the user device.
