End-of-Support (EOS) Policy for inSync Client for Cloud

Each release of the inSync Client for Cloud comes with new features and enhancements. Druva also releases patches, bug fixes, and hotfixes for the inSync Client when required.

Druva recommends upgrading the inSync Client to the latest version at all times, enabling our customers to consume the latest features and improvements.

The following EOS policy is applicable for inSync Client for Cloud:

End-of-Support (EOS ): Druva ends all support for the inSync Client for Public and FedRAMP-certified cloud versions that are more than 18 months old, and no patches, bug fixes, and technical assistance is made available. The inSync Client that is over 18 months old will stop connecting to the inSync Cloud, and all backups and restores will be blocked.

Druva supports only the latest version of inSync Client compatible with Linux OS. The latest version of inSync Client qualified with Linux OS for Ubuntu & RHEL is inSync Client v5.9.5. For CentOS, the latest version is inSync Client v5.9.3. Druva sends periodic reminders (add communication channels) to its customers to ensure that they upgrade the Client Cloud to the latest version.

IMPORTANT

Druva will no longer release any 32-bit inSync Client for Windows beyond v7.2.5. We encourage you to upgrade to inSync Client 7.5.x, which is optimized for 64-bit architecture that aligns with industry standards, enhances user experience with improved performance, and better compatibility with the latest hardware and operating systems.

EOS policy for AD/LDAP Connector / inSync Connector for GovCloud

Each release of inSync Connector comes with new features and enhancements. Druva also releases patches and hotfixes for inSync Connector as and when required.

📝Note

Per Druva's EOS policy, Druva supports the latest version of the Connector.

EOS for the Connector version means the end of all technical assistance, auto-upgrades, and bug fixes for that version. Druva recommends periodically upgrading the inSync Connector to the latest version.

Question: Can I configure Insync backup on a computer running Windows 8.1, and what version of Insync is supported for Windows 8.1?

Question: Can I configure Insync backup on a computer running Windows 8.1, and what version of Insync is supported for Windows 8.1?

Answer: It is possible to configure Insync backup on a computer running Windows 8.1, but there is no specific version of Insync officially supported for Windows 8.1. The latest client supports Windows 10 and 11, and for the rest of the OS, limited support is available. With limited support, if you encounter any bug that is only reproducible on Windows 8.1 64-bit, it will not be fixed by the Product team. Also, upgrade scenarios are not supported. For official documentation on supported operating systems, you can refer to the inSync Client support and upgrade scenarios and the endpoints support matrix and EOS policies.: It is possible to configure Insync backup on a computer running Windows 8.1, but there is no specific version of Insync officially supported for Windows 8.1.
