As an administrator, you can restore Claude App data to a user's device. If the user has multiple devices, you can choose the device on which you want to restore data.

Claude data restore is only compatible between devices running the same operating system. Cross-platform restore (e.g., from macOS to Windows) is not supported for the Restore to Original option because of architectural differences in file paths.

To restore Claude Desktop data on a user device:

On the Endpoints console, click Users. You can also restore data from the User Details page. Click a user name to view the user's details page.

Click Restore Data and then select the data source - user device for which you want to restore the Claude App Data. The Restore Data window appears.

In the Snapshot Viewer section, click the dropdown button to view snapshots from which you want to restore the data. Alternatively, you can use<a href="https://dell-help.druva.com/en/articles/8830392-search-your-backed-up-data-using-the-insync-web"> Search</a> to search for files that you want to restore.

You can perform a granular level data restore to restore selected components of Claude to continue with the ongoing projects. Select the User listed with the UUID and the respective Claude components and click Restore

4. On the Restore to Device window, provide the following details:

Restore to Device: Select the device on which you want to restore the data.

- If you want to restore the data to the device's desktop, click Desktop.
- If you want to restore the data to the folder from which it was backed up, click Original Location.

- Restore to Device: Select the device on which you want to restore the data.
- Restore to Location:
 - If you want to restore the data to the device's desktop, click Desktop.
 - If you want to restore the data to the folder from which it was backed up, click Original Location.

To download Claude Desktop data on a user device:
