Managing Scheduled Reports for Departed Druva Admins

Managing Scheduled Reports for Departed Druva Admins

Updated over a year ago

Overview

When a Druva administrator leaves your organization, it’s essential to address scheduled reports they configured to ensure proper management and avoid unnecessary report deliveries. Scheduled reports in Druva can only be managed by the admin who created them. This article explains how to handle such situations effectively.

Impact of Admin Departure

If an administrator who configured scheduled reports leaves the organization:

  • The reports remain associated with their account.

  • Email addresses added as subscribers or recipients of the reports can only be modified or removed by the scheduling admin.

Steps to Manage Scheduled Reports

  1. For Inactive or Departed Admins:

    • Delete the admin account from Druva.

      • This action will automatically delete the scheduled reports and remove all associated subscribers/recipients.

  2. For Active Admins (Still Employed):

    • Request the admin to manually remove the subscribers and recipients from the scheduled reports.

Scope of Application

The above process applies to reports configured via:

  1. inSync Admin Portal (On the Title bar of the Druva admin console)

  2. Druva Cloud Platform Reports Portal (Menu → Reports)

Recommendations:

  • Proactively review the list of scheduled reports and their subscribers when an admin resigns or transfers roles.

  • Ensure a transition plan is in place for report management to minimize disruptions.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure smooth operations and effective handling of scheduled reports within Druva.
