The article provides the procedure to discontinue the use of the Druva App for Salesforce (SFDC) backup and archival. It provides step-by-step instructions to ensure the complete removal of organizations, users, and configurations from the Druva App.

Procedure

To stop using the Druva App for SFDC backup and Archival, follow the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Log in to the Salesforce App Console

Login to your Salesforce Druva/Dell app to perform the necessary action

Step 2: Remove the Orgs from the license

  1. On the Salesforce Druva App, click Settings.

  2. Click License on the left navigation bar.

  3. Click Manage License. The Manage Licenses window appears with the list of organizations associated with the license.

  4. Click the dropdown arrow on the right from the Organization listing.

  5. Click Remove to remove the associated organization.

Step 3: Delete Orgs from Environment Hub

  1. On the Salesforce Druva App, click Environment Hub. All the Salesforce organizations that are configured for backup are listed.

  2. Locate the Organization that you wish to delete, click the dropdown arrow on the right, and select Delete. A confirmation window appears.

  3. You can download the list of Archival definitions, Backup definitions, and Data Templates that will be deleted as part of the Organization deletion.

  4. Provide a valid Reason for deletion.

  5. Click Delete. This step removes all Backup Definitions, Data Templates, and Archival Definitions related to the orgs.

Step 4: Deactivate all users

  1. On the Salesforce Druva App, click Settings.

  2. Under User Management, on the left-hand side panel, navigate to User.

  3. Click the dropdown arrow on the right beside the user listing and select Delete. A confirmation window appears.

  4. On the confirmation window, select Delete the user and its associated definitions option.

    1. Delete the user and its associated definitions - To delete the user from the Salesforce App and the associated configurations, such as backup definitions, archival definitions, and data templates, you must first delete the user from the Salesforce app. This will completely stop the backup and archival of the Salesforce organization based on the user-defined entities.

  5. On the confirmation window, select Delete the user and its associated definitions option.

  6. Provide the Reason for the user's deletion. It is helpful for the administrator to understand the deletion and its purpose and click Delete.

An email with the deleted user's details and the reason for deletion is triggered and sent to all the administrators in the organization.
