Forcing Sync of Google Shared Drives in Druva

Purpose:

This article provides instructions on how to force sync changes from Google Shared Drives in Druva. This is useful when changes, such as modifications to shared drive names, are not reflected in Druva as expected.

Steps to Force Sync Changes from Google Shared Drives in Druva:

  1. Log into the Druva Admin Portal

  2. Navigate to Google Workspace Settings:

    • In the left-hand menu, locate and click on "Google Workspace".

    • This will take you to the Google Workspace management section.

  3. Click on "Shared Drives"

  4. Click on the three vertical dots on the top right-hand corner of the Shared Drives section, select "Discover Shared Drives".

  1. This action will force Druva to re-synchronize and fetch the latest details of the shared drives from Google Workspace.

  2. After initiating the discover operation, allow some time for Druva to complete the sync process.

  3. Check the list of shared drives to ensure that any changes, such as modified names, are now correctly reflected

Notes:

  • Sync Frequency: Regular synchronization should occur automatically, but this manual process can help when immediate updates are required.

  • Troubleshooting: If changes are still not reflected after forcing a sync, ensure that Google app in Druva is in connected state
