Upgrade the Agent or Proxy using the Enterprise Workloads Management Console

This topic describes how you can upgrade your agents/proxies in just one click.

Updated yesterday

You can now upgrade multiple agents or proxies, for different workloads, to the latest versions in one click, from the Management console.

You can upgrade multiple agents or proxies:

  • For multiple organizations

  • Within an organization

  • For a single workload

πŸ“ Note

It is recommended that you always upgrade your agent/proxy to the latest version for better performance and security.

You can select specific workloads or organizations for which you want to upgrade the agents/proxies.

The Overview page provides a consolidated summary of the agent and proxy deployment status across your environment. It offers visibility into deployment health, connectivity, and upgrade readiness through the following details:

  • Total number of agents and proxies deployed

  • Number of agents/proxies that are upgradable

  • Number of devices in an End of Support state

  • Number of agents/proxies disconnected from the cloud

The End of Support(EOS) status identifies the devices running on outdated operating systems or proxy/agent versions. This status serves as a critical indicator to help you prioritize and plan upgrades.

A device will be marked as EOS if it meets one or both of the following criteria:

  • Agent/Proxy End of Support

The device is running an agent package that is older than one year (365 days from its release date). For more information on the supported versions, see Enterprise Workloads EOS policy.

  • Operating System End of Support:

The device's operating system (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS) is no longer supported by the original vendor. For more information, see End-of-support life policy for third-party vendor.

When you select a workload, you can see a list of all deployed agents/proxies. Under the Version column, you can view the version and current status for each agent, whether it is upgradable or not. You will also see the "End of Support" status displayed here for affected devices. If your agent/proxy is on a device where the operating system is nearing End of Support, it will be indicated against the name of the device as a tooltip. You can see the connection status of each agent/proxy, the operating system it is deployed on, and other related details as well.
