Update the retention period for CloudCache

Updated over 10 months ago

The retention period determines how long data is stored on CloudCache. After this period, CloudCache frees up space by deleting non-referenced data. The amount of space freed depends on the frequency of file change.

πŸ“ Note

Changes to the retention period apply to all recover points, existing and new.

Steps to Update Retention Period

  1. Log in to the Management Console.

  2. Navigate to Manage > CloudCache. Note that if the All Organizations menu is enabled, you have to first select an organization and then click Manage > CloudCache.

  3. On the Configured tab, select the desired CloudCache.

  4. In the Attached Backup Sets tab, choose the backup set and click Edit Retention.

  5. On the Edit Retention page:

    • To update all selected backup sets, check the box and set the retention period (up to 30 days).

    • For individual sets, select the new retention period in days.

  6. Click Save.
