Overview
inSync Cloud can back up data over various network types, such as 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi, and VPN. You can allow inSync to back up the user data over specific data networks. Also, you can restrict backups over data networks that are not compliant with the Internet usage policy of your organization. You can define a unique string name that inSync uses to identify the network that you want to block.
With the macOS Sequoia operating system, user devices must have Location Services permission enabled in the System settings for inSync Client 7.5.5 and above to allow or restrict Wi-Fi networks for backups. The status of the Location Services for the user device can be found in the Last Backup Status Report
The following table lists the guidelines for setting a unique string name.

Procedure
To allow and restrict backups and sync over data networks
From the inSync console, go to the Settings wheel> Endpoints & SaaS Apps Settings.
Click the pencil icon ( Edit ) next to the Network section. Below pop-up will appear
In the Allowed networks for backup field, type the unique string.
Example: KPHOME;DRUVACORP;SecureLan;Modem;CORP.Select Restrict backup on any other network checkbox if you do not want inSync to backup user data on any network other than the ones specified in the
Allowed networks for backup field.
In the Restricted networks for backup field, type the unique string.
Example, 602HW;Public;GUEST;HOTSPOT.Click Save.
