Edit the kind of violations visible to end users
Updated over 8 months ago

By default, all types of violations (Critical and Non-Critical) are visible to end users for the data owned by them. When you enable end-user violation visibility for a policy, the list of file and email violations is displayed to the user. You can also opt to show quarantined files and emails to the end user. Although they can only view it; they can’t take any action.

Change the violation types visible to end users

  1. Click the Global Navigation icon to access the Global Navigation Panel and select Sensitive Data Governance. The Sensitive Data Governance Overview page is displayed.

  2. On the Sensitive Data Governance page, click Configure > Settings.

  3. In the End User Violation Visibility section, click Edit.

  4. In the Edit End User Violation Visibility Criteria, you can edit the following:

    1. Show violations which are - Select All if you want to show all violations to end users. Otherwise, just select Critical or Non-Critical.

    2. Show violations older than - Enter the number of days after which the violation should be visible to the end users. A delay provides Sensitive Data Governance administrators a window to view and inspect the violation before the end user sees it.

    3. Show Quarantine files and emails to end users - Select if you want to display the quarantined files and emails owned by that user. Users will be able to view the quarantined files and emails only for the policies that are visible to end users.

  5. Click Save.
