Overview
For the Shared mailbox backup, We recommend to create a separate Insync profile for the M365 shared mailbox backup with the exchange online enabled and the OneDrive disabled.
Why does OneDrive have to disable in the profile ?
If you have OneDrive enabled in the Insync profile and a shared mailbox user associated with it , then insync will search for the OneDrive account to backup. If there is a OneDrive account found for the Shared mailbox user in Microsoft , then the OneDrive also will backup and it will consume an active license in Insync. If there is no OneDrive account found for the user , then it will consume the Shared mailbox license.
Common Scenario: Let's consider an user added to a profile with Exchange online and OneDrive backup enabled. When this user Mailbox converted to the Shared Mailbox in Microsoft , If the user had OneDrive activated earlier then this OneDrive will backup in insync even after the conversion. This will cause the consumption of the active user license in Insync instead of the Shared mailbox license.
