inSync shuts down abruptly after backup on a device installed with macOS Mojave

Problem description

inSync Client 5.9.5 installed on a Mac device installed with macOS Mojave 10.14 shuts down abruptly after performing a backup.

Cause

inSync Client versions 6.1.1 and later are supported on macOS Mojave.

Resolution

Upgrade to inSync Client 6.1.1. Druva recommends inSync Client version 6.1.1 to perform backups on macOS Mojave 10.14 device.

Verification

After installing inSync Client 6.1.1, verify whether backups complete successfully and the client does not shut down abruptly.
