Problem Description

Activation failed due to a 'Resource Not Found' error while discovering URLs. Encountered an error discovering the PhoenixSyncServer service using the activation token: 'Service Unavailable: Invalid character β€˜<’ found while looking for the beginning of a value.'

Cause

The issue occurs because the Druva Master Server is not reachable from the VMware Backup Proxy.

Resolution:

To resolve the issue, verify and address the following:

  1. Whitelist: Ensure that *.druva.com is whitelisted in the network.

  2. Firewall Rules: Confirm that the firewall is not blocking connections from the VMware Backup Proxy to Druva URLs.

  3. Network Stability: Check for network instability between the VMware Proxy and Druva Cloud.

  4. Phoenix Agent Service: Verify if the Phoenix Agent Service on the VMware Proxy is running.

  5. Port 443: Ensure Port 443 is open between the VMware Proxy and Druva Cloud.

  6. Antivirus Interference: Confirm that the antivirus software is not blocking the Druva Agent process execution.

  7. DNS Issues: Check for DNS configuration or resolution problems affecting connectivity.

  8. Web Proxy Configuration: If a web proxy is configured, ensure that it is properly set up and not causing connectivity issues.
