Install the inSync Client On CentOS

Overview

With the addition of multilingual support, you can view the inSync Client and perform various tasks in your preferred language. inSync Client supports English, Japanese, German, French, and Spanish languages.

📝 Note

Procedure for CentOS 8 (CentOS 9 is not supported.)

To install from the CentOS GUI:

  1. Right Click on the druva-insync-client_version.RPM Installer. Click “Open With Software Install”.

  2. Click install and enter the elevated sudo password to continue.

  3. Search for inSync Client from applications.

  4. The Activate Backup window appears. You must activate the inSync Client.

To install the inSync Client from the Terminal:

  1. Open a terminal.

  2. Change the current working directory to the directory that contains the inSync installer.

  3. Run the following command: sudo yum install libappindicator-gtk3 rpm –ivh <package name>

  4. The installation is complete after the successful command run.

  5. Search for in inSync Client from applications.

  6. The Activate Backup window appears. You must activate the inSync Client.
