Grant seamless access to an MSP administrator

Overview

With the introduction of seamless access, an existing inSync Management Console Administrator who has an MSP Administrator's email id, can login directly to the MSP Management Console via the inSync Management Console to manage multiple customer accounts. This allows the MSPs to navigate between both the consoles and manage customer accounts more efficiently.

Procedure

To grant seamless access to an administrator

  1. In the inSync Management Console menu bar, click on the gear icon:

    Settings> Manage Administrators. The Administrators page appears.

  2. Click Grant Seamless Access. The MSP Administrator receives an email which contains an activation link. Clicking on this link redirects the MSP administrator to the MSP Management Console login page.

  3. Enter the MSP Administrator's credentials to login. The MSP Administrator acquires access to the inSync Management Console for the selected customer. For more information, see Manage Customer.


📝 Notes

  • After activating seamless access, the administrator can access the customer's account using the MSP Management Console only.

  • Grant Seamless Access is enabled only till the MSP Administrator activates seamless access. Till the button is enabled, the activation link can be resent.


Scenarios when seamless access can be granted to an MSP Administrator to access customer’s account in the inSync Management Console

When a new customer is created

If a customer is created using the MSP administrator's email id, the MSP administrator is added as the default inSync Management Console administrator for the newly created customer. As a newly assigned role of inSync Management Console Administrator, the MSP administrator receives an email. This mail contains details of the customer name and the login credentials. Using these credentials, the MSP administrator can login to the inSync Management Console through the MSP Management Console only. For more information see Add a New Customer.

After a customer is created

When an existing inSync Management Console administrator creates a new inSync Management Console Administrator for an MSP with existing an MSP administrator's email id.
The MSP Administrator receives an email which contains an activation link. Clicking on this link redirects the MSP administrator to the MSP Management Console login page. Once logged in using the MSP Administrator's credentials, the MSP Administrator acquires access to the inSync Management Console for the selected customer.
