How to create an environment in CloudRanger

Updated over a week ago

Overview

  • With the launch of Automated Disaster Recovery 2.0 in CloudRanger, a new feature called Environments has been introduced.

  • Environments allow you to:

    • Encapsulate sections of your cloud infrastructure.

    • Identify and group VPC components within environments.

    • Enable CloudRanger to manage automated disaster recovery of resources using disaster recovery plans.

  • Additionally, you can clone environments to other regions and AWS accounts or download them as a CloudFormation template. This is particularly useful when you need to clone only specific VPC components, such as subnets and security groups, from one region to another, without cloning the entire VPC.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the CloudRanger page from the Druva Console.

  2. If multiple organizations are available, select the appropriate organization.

  3. Select appropriate under the above-selected organization.

  4. Now select the appropriate account from the All AWS Account Page.

  5. Go to Disaster Recovery -> Environments
